Fate’s Revealed
Ice finally reached the top of the chimney and looked down, however he couldn’t see anything as the steam rose up blocking his view. “I have got to get down there to help Demon Hunter. I will just have to chance it” Ice said to himself as he jumped off the edge and plummeted through the smoke. As he fell he stretched out his arms and legs and tried to glide as far as possible towards the other side of the chimney. As he glided he managed to see something through the smoke, he instantly straightened up and dived towards it.
Meanwhile…
Blaze ran along the path until he came along to the chimney, the path had been destroyed and he looked across to the other side. He leaned over to look to the bottom to see green bubbling liquid. “hmm, looks like I have to fly across then” Blaze thought to himself as he burst in to flames and flapped his wings flying across the smoke to the other side. Just before he reached the other side something slammed in to his back. Blaze quickly reached out and grabbed the ledge as he started to fall, as he looked up he saw Ice standing there. Blaze lifted himself up, Ice turned around startled to see Blaze.
“Hey did you just jump on me!” Blaze shouted pointing his finger at Ice. Ice realised what he did as he looked out the chimney. “Me, no it wasn’t me” Ice said lying as tried to hide the fact he landed on Blaze. “It was you weren’t it. What are you doing?” Blaze shouted at Ice who was beginning to stutter trying to find an answer. “That hurt you know, how would you like it if I used your back as a trampoline!” Blaze shouted. “Eh eh eh, sorry” Ice said as he started to run away down the corridor with Blaze chasing after him.
Cerebral eyes opened as he heard there voices, Death let go and looked at his hand. “Why didn’t it work?” Death pondered as Cerebral regained his consciousness. Suddenly Death heard their shouting and saw them running down the corridor towards them. “Damn it, this corridor is too cramped to fight properly” Death thought as he jumped over Cerebral. “I will wait for you in the Master’s office” Death said to Cerebral as he ran off down the corridor. Blaze and Ice stopped fighting as they saw Cerebral pinned to the floor. They both ran as fast as they could towards him, as they arrived they both grabbed the scythe and pulled it out and threw it back down the corridor. Cerebral smiled when he saw their faces, “You saved me” Cerebral said happily. “Of course, you’re a member of the Demon Hunter Elimination Squad and we all look out for each other.” Blaze replied as Cerebral smile grew bigger.
“Hey are you going to be okay” Ice asked looking at his wound, “Hey I will be fine in a few minutes, they just need a little time to do their job” Cerebral said. “Ok, we will just wait till your ready” Blaze said reassuringly. “NO!” Cerebral snapped “we have to stop Death and help Demon Hunter. He is waiting up ahead, you guys go on ahead.” Cerebral said. “Hey, I’m the leader here and you do what I say. We will carry you ok” Blaze said as he grabbed one of Cerebral’s arm, Ice instantly grabbed the other and started to carry Cerebral along the corridor. Cerebral wound already started to heal as the hole patched it’s self up.
Meanwhile…
Death pushed open the door to the Master room, and ran in. He quickly walked to the pedestal and looked down the hole. “Damn, he made it to master’s lair, I never wanted him to make it that far.” Death thought to himself as he saw the cage start to climb up the tunnel towards him. “They will be here soon, but as long as I survive the apocalypse will still take place.” Death said as he turned around, he sat down on the pedestal and began to wait for them to arrive.
As they arrived at the large double doors Cerebral was fully healed, they slowly pushed the door opened and saw Death sitting there with a large cage behind him somehow floating on the pedestal. They all spread out, they saw Volt’s dead body with the head decapitated. “It looks like Demon Hunter already passed through here” Ice said after seeing the dead body. “Your right he has, but he didn’t kill Volt. I killed him and reaped his soul. Just like what I am going to do to you.” Death said as he stood up. “Demon Hunter lies beneath us, if you want to meet up with him you will have to ride this elevator to the bottom.” Death said, they all looked at the cage knowing that they had to get to it. “Unfortunately for you the only to get to it, is through me. Hmm how will you do it?” Death said as looked out across them all.
The three of them looked at each other and nodded. Blaze gripped his kunai knifes; Ice’s swords became encased in ice as he unsheathed them and Cerebral slightly extended his nails. “Dual Ice Cutter” Ice yelled as he sent the lines of ice towards Death. Death jumped up in to the air and the attacks shattered against the cage, Blaze burst in to flames and flew towards him. He opened his mouth and the fire around his body gathered around it. “Blazin Flamethrower” Blaze shouted as the fire shot forward like a flamethrower. Death quickly flipped round and placed both his feet on the ceiling and pushed off. The fire set the ceiling on fire as Death narrowly avoided the attack. As he landed Cerebral dashed forward and stuck his hand in to his stomach, before he could extend his nails further Death grabbed his throat and raised him off his feet.
Ice quickly jumped through the air and kicked Death in the side of the head. Death and Cerebral stumbled backwards after Ice’s attack. Death quickly regained his balance and pounced forwards towards Ice this time grabbing his throat. He slowly lifted him off his feet as he started to remove his soul. Cerebral extended his nails and slashed through Death’s wrist. However Death’s hand still floated their gripping Ice’s neck, Death turned round and punched Cerebral with his other hand. A physic blast hit Cerebral straight after the fist sending him slamming in to the open door closing it, Cerebral collapsed on all fours and started to struggle getting back up.
Blaze landed behind Death and fired his kunai backwards a certain distance and then swung his arm towards Death. “Blazin Whip” The knife cut straight Death’s body splitting him in to two. Ice still struggled in to mid air as the hand still gripped tight. “This is ridiculous, It isn’t even connected to his bloody body” Ice said as he gripped his sword and skewered the hand. He pull back on the swords and the hand let go and went flying in to the wall. Ice coughed a little bit trying to regain his breath. Suddenly the hand came flying back to death’s body and rejoined as did his other half.
Blaze, Ice and Cerebral stood there dumbstruck, “What the hell!” They all said in unison as Death was fully healed. “Hmm, I am Death” Death said with a hint a glee in his voice. “That doesn’t answer anything!” Ice shouted at him, demanding that he explain how this is possible. “Ok, I will tell you. My mind is superior to yours, I can control any part of my body through the power of my mind, for example if my heart is removed my body will automatically pump blood around my body with out it. Just if you chop of my hand or head I can control it and reattach it. My body also heals any injury automatically and instantly. I am Death; Death is the one thing that is absolute in this world. Everything must die for the world to turn; it is a fact of life.” Death said explaining it to them
“So if we can’t kill him, then we need to trap him.” Ice thought to himself. As he looked around the room he saw that Blaze and himself were on the right side and could easily make it to the elevator but Cerebral was trapped. “Eh what do we do, if we can’t win then me Blaze can make it too the elevator but that would guarantee Cerebral’s death. What do we do, I don’t think we can win this fight.” Ice thought to himself as he looked towards Blaze for answer. Blaze turned to look at him as well, “You ready?” Blaze said as he looked back towards Death. “Ready, ready for what. What’s his plan” Ice thought as he wasn’t sure what Blaze was thinking
Suddenly Blaze burst in to flames, his flames grew hotter and hotter. Death turned round to face him. Suddenly Cerebral slashed through the air cutting across his back, Death continued to walk forward towards Blaze seemingly unaffected by Cerebral’s attack. Cerebral instantly jumped at Death slicing through his body with his attack. Death just carried on walking as he sent Cerebral flying backwards with a physic blast which seemed to come from no where. His body healed and reconnected as he almost reached Blaze, Cerebral staggered to his feet. Ice without thinking jumped in front of Blaze. Death just continued walking towards him, “oh god, what is he doing” Ice thought to himself as he prepared to be attacked. “Blazin!” Blaze shouted as he rose slightly off his feet. Ice turned round to look as the fire around Blaze burst in to smoke.
“Combustion!” Blaze yelled as the fire burst out of Death’s body from the inside. Death staggered backwards grabbing his chest as the fire burst out his mouth, ears and eyes. “What the?” Ice said as he saw Death staggering back screaming. “Now Ice use your best attack!” Blaze shouted as Ice stood their in amazement. “So that’s his plan” Ice said leaping in to action. He quickly dropped his swords and lowered his hands exposing his wrists. “Ice Shower!” Ice shouted as a shower of ice burst forth over Death. He became frozen solid on knees gripping his chest. “Wind Slasher” Cerebral said as the wind waves smashed him to pieces over the room. “Come on!” Blaze yelled as he ran to the elevator.
The pieces of Death started to shake and float in the air, Ice and Cerebral ran past them and got in to the elevator with Blaze. Suddenly the elevator sprung in to life and they plummeted downwards. They flew up and were all pinned to the ceiling of the cage. “I am going to kill you all!” They could hear Death scream as he jumped down the hole after them. The cage soon crashed in to lake as they were flung to the bottom with a smack. They all quickly stumbled out and jumped for the cavern tunnel. They started to run down the tunnel until Ice turned back to see the cage collapse and fall in to the lake.
Suddenly Death floated down and hovered above the lake. Ice quickly turned around while the others kept on running. Blaze soon stopped as did Cerebral once they realised that Ice wasn’t with them. They turned back to see Ice standing there facing Death. “Ice come on! We need to hurry” Blazed yelled down the tunnel at him. Ice lifted his hands in the air and suddenly the water jumped up around Death. It quickly formed a large square around Death and became solid Ice. The block of Ice then started to fall down the hole. Ice quickly turned around and carried on running, “Come on, that won’t hold him for long” Ice said as he ran past Blaze and Cerebral. They soon followed after him and they soon came to the door with the hand reader.
“What now!” Ice said as he started to panic as he heard Death’s roar. Blaze thrust his hand against the palm reader, it quickly scanned and the green light pinged on and the door opened. The three of them quickly rushed in to the room, there were several screens on the walls. One showed Demon Hunter fighting Damien, Blaze rushed over to see it and stepped on the pedestal a beam of blue light rushed down around. Blaze struggled to move but he was stuck. “I can’t move!” Blaze shouted as the door closed behind Ice and Cerebral. Ice ran over and placed his hand in to the blue beam, suddenly he couldn’t remove his hand from the beam. He struggled to get free and accidentally fell in to the beam himself.
Suddenly the door opened and Cerebral jumped forward in to the beam by accident. “Oh great” Blaze said as Death walked in to the room. Death slowly walked forward and dashed forward to attack. As he entered the blue beam he felt his body stiffen and they were soon all stuck. “Help!” They yelled as they struggled to get free.
Demon Hunter versus Damien Gammon
Demon Hunter and Damien dashed forward as the two crashed in to each other, Damien unleashed a fury of swipes and punches as Demon Hunter quickly blocked each one with his sword. He quickly parried on the attacks and managed to knock Damien off balance. Damien skidded backwards as Demon Hunter brought his sword swinging down with both arms in an effort to deal the fatal blow. Damien quickly jumped out of the way as the sword cut through his shirt. He landed on the metal walkway by the door. Suddenly loud bangs started to fill the room, as Demon Hunter looked around puzzled he realised that they were coming from the other side of the door.
“There hungry for blood Jack, join with me and when they are released you will be safe” Damien said holding out his hand as a sign of friendship. “Hold that out any longer and I will chop it off!” Demon Hunter sharply replied. Damien quickly lowered his hand and his head. “I am disappointed in you Jack; I had such big plans for you.” Damien said as he looked back up. In a flash Damien appeared in front of him, his fist implanted in to his stomach. He quickly grabbed his stomach as he stepped backwards. Damien’s foot quickly swung round smacking in to Demon Hunter. He flew in to a computer terminal cracking the screen as it fell off the desk.
Damien quickly grabbed him by his shirt and threw him straight over his head, Demon Hunter landed on his back as he lifted off the floor slightly after landing. He quickly struggled on to his hands and legs; suddenly Damien thrust his face in to ground. Demon Hunter’s face spread with pain as one of his teeth cracked on the metal floor. Damien’s foot smacked in to Demon Hunter’s kidney’s as he rose off the floor and in to the barrier on either side of the walkway. “You’re pathetic, not even a challenge for me. Maybe I was wrong about you after all, but I will allow you to see the hell that awaits you before I slowly kill you” Damien said as he turned around and started to walk towards one of the computer terminals.
Demon Hunter grabbed hold of one of the barriers and pulled himself up, his knees began to wobble as he quickly felt drained as he stood up. He was still gripping hold tightly on to his sword as he faced Damien. Damien leaned over and pressed a button on one of the terminals. The chains behind Demon Hunter started to move as they tightened Demon Hunter could hear the creaking of the doors as they very slowly began to pull apart to open the passage to hell. Demon Hunter’s sword grew a bright white as he pumped his energy in to it. “Radiant Slash” He quietly said as he swiped through the air. A thin line of white light traced across the air following the path of his sword, Damien stood still facing the terminal unaware of what Demon Hunter was doing. In a second the line shot forward cutting in to his back and the terminal he stood in front. The terminal began to spark as electricity ran through the gap, suddenly the terminal exploded and smoke and debris flew across the room.
Demon Hunter shielded his face as pieces of metal and plastic flew everywhere, Damien burst out of the smoke that filled that side of the room, and punched him straight in the face. Demon Hunter flew down the walkway and slammed in to the partially opened door. He could feel the heat radiating from the other side of the door, when a hand grasped on to his shoulder. As Demon Hunter looked at it he could see that it was completely black as seemed to be made out of shadows. Suddenly an ear piecing scream came from the other side of the door. Demon Hunter stumbled forward startled, as he turned his attention back to where he was going a fist swung towards him. He quickly skidded under the fist, and flipped back up on the other side of Damien.
The fire from the terminal had been put out as the sprinklers kicked in to action. The smoke had also disappeared as it got sucked up through the air conditioning. However pieces of debris still littered the floor, Damien slowly turned him self around and smiled. “Do you realise the power that I hold and what hell awaits you?” Damien asked as he smiled with pride. “If I am going to hell, then I am taking you with me. Wouldn’t want the devil to be without his bitch now would we?” Demon Hunter said making fun of Damien’s lunacy. “And how are you going to do that then?” Damien asked still smiling at him.
“I am running out of power and energy, there is not enough light in here” he thought to himself as he looked at his sword. “I can’t have come this far just to fail now. I have to put the rest of my excess energy in to this next attack” He thought as his whole body began to glow white. “ONI” He shouted as Damien stood in confusion. “I don’t know if I have enough energy for more then one solid form, but if I can distract him with the others. It should give me enough time to strike” He thought to himself as change in to a fighting stance. “HUNTER” he shouted as four clones of light burst forward towards Damien.
Damien stood there shocked as they jumped up surrounding him; he quickly regained his senses and jumped at one them swinging his fist. He quickly shot through the clone as he faded out of sight he landed with the real Demon Hunter in front of him and the three clones behind him. “So there all fakes, neat trick but fake ones won’t help you” Damien said as the three clones ran straight for him. He swung his foot around as it passed through all three of them and they faded from sight. Damien swung his foot round bringing his whole body back to face Demon Hunter. Suddenly another clone was above him, Damien stood up confidently. The clone’s body turned in to a ball of light emanating from his now floating arm. Damien opened his mouth, as he bit down on the ball. “SLASH” Demon Hunter yelled as he dashed forward thrusting his sword in to his stomach. Damien bit down hard on the ball of light as exploded, quickly expanding in to a small sphere. Blood and pieces sprayed everywhere as the ball expanded.
Demon Hunter versus Damien Gammon: Winner = Demon Hunter
Demon Hunter rose to his feet holding his sword in to his belly. Suddenly Damien’s hand thrust forward smacking Demon Hunter in the chest. He leapt backwards as he flew of his feet smacking in to one of the terminals, as he slid down the floor his head banged against the terminals hitting one the buttons. Suddenly shouts for help filled the room, as he looked around he couldn’t see anyone but then he recognised the voices. “Blaze, Ice and Cerebral where are they?” he thought to himself totally ignoring the fact that Damien’s head was slowly rebuilding. “They must be stuck in that teleporter thing; there must be a button somewhere to release them.” Demon Hunter said quickly pressing all of the buttons. Damien cracked his neck back in to place as his head had fully regenerated.
As he pressed a large blue button the others re-materialised in the room, Cerebral and Death stumbled forward on to the walkway past Damien. Ice and Blaze stood there wondering what had happened. As they looked around the room they could see that the door to hell had started to be opened. Death stumbled to his feet shaking his head as he felt dizzy. “Fine!” Damien boomed to get everybody’s attention. “If you lot will stop making this world hell, then I will bring this world to hell!” He shouted as he marched down the walkway to the door. He placed each hand of either side and started to pull them apart with all his strength. The hands made of shadows shot forth from the door weaving around Damien and reaching in to the room. They quickly grabbed hold of pieces of metal and ceiling tiles and pulled them down in to hell.
Demon Hunter gripped his sword unsure on what to do. Suddenly the hands grabbed on to Cerebral’s leg as he held of to the metal walkway. The hand started to pull hard as it raised Cerebral off the ground as he gripped tight on to the walkway. “Cerebral!” Ice yelled as he ran forward to help him. Cerebral quickly raised a hand of the walkway to indicate to Ice to stop. “No! don’t come any closer. If you do you will get caught in it as well. There is no way to stop it as Damien continues to pull it open, just get out of here” Cerebral as he gripped on to the walkway, the metal started to cut in to fingers as more and more hands grabbed hold of his legs. Death slowly walked over to him slowly, the others just stood there watching unable to act. “You are a persistent maggot aren’t you!” Death said as he kicked Cerebral trying to make him let go off the walkway. “Go to hell!” Cerebral said as with his free hand grabbed Death’s foot as he went to kick again and let go of the walkway.
Cerebral got pulled swiftly across the walkway, as he did Death fell over as he lost his balance. Cerebral held on to his leg with both hands, as Death tried to kick him off. Death and Cerebral flew down the walkway as they both screamed in fear, Death quickly tried to grab on to something but he was going to fast. As the hands pulled them through the doorway and down out of sight. “Enough!” Demon Hunter screamed at the top of his voice as his sword glowed white. “You two cut the chains and close the door” Demon Hunter said through gritted teeth as he felt more angry then ever before. “But what about you?” Blaze said but Demon Hunter didn’t seem to be listening as he spoke quietly to himself. “You took everything from me, my family, my friends, my life and now this. It ends here I am going to drag you down in to hell my self.” Demon Hunter said as he ran full sprint down the walkway.
His sword plunged in to his back, as he pushed forward it broke through his body and burst out of the front. Demon Hunter pushed forward with all his strength but Damien remained unmoving. “You die here!” Demon Hunter said as Damien had almost got the door’s fully open. “Oh really. You should have joined me, now you will be dragged down in to hell” Damien said laughing at Demon Hunter’s efforts. Suddenly the hands wrapped around his feet and pulled him of his feet. He landed on his front just managing to tear out his sword from Damien’s body. He quickly got dragged as he spun around to his front and gripped the ledge of the walkway. As he looked down he could see a giant wall which seemed to go down forever that had shadowy hands covering it. Layers of smoke and ash blocked his view to the bottom, but he could see explosions happening down beneath the clouds. The hands were starting to wrap themselves all around him as he struggled to hold on.
Damien looked down at him laughing as Demon Hunter’s arm grew bright white including the sword. The shadowy hands instantly let go in pain as the light hurt them, he pulled himself up as much as possible with his other hand and thrust his sword in to Damien. He slowly lifted his sword upwards with all his remaining strength as Damien lifted of the ground. Damien instantly let go of the door as he struggled to get free. Demon Hunter quickly swung his arm backwards and flung Damien threw the door. “NO!” He screamed as he disappeared through the layer of ash and smoke. Demon Hunter could see a large explosion that covered the entire layer of ash and smoke. It suddenly started to burst forth out of the ash rising up the wall destroying the shadowy hands as it went. Demon Hunter looked forward as he saw Blaze and Ice cut the chains before running towards the walkway to help him.
“Try your best, let them enjoy peace” Demon Hunter said as a tear ran down his cheek as he let go of the walkway. “Jack!” They both screamed as they reached the walkway too late. Suddenly the fire burst out of the doorway and ran down the walkway before being sucked back down in to hell. Both of them just stood there unsure of what happened but both feeling a deep sense of loss. Blaze quickly ran forward and started to push one of the doors closed. Ice could see tears running down his face as he started to do the same. After a while the door slammed closed, they both slumped against the door. As they started to cry, unfortunately a siren started to sound as Ice leapt up to look at the terminals.
A timer started to count down on the screens of all the working terminals. “Damn, the self destruct has been activated. It must have been Damien’s back up plan.” Ice shouted making Blaze instantly look up. “How much time do we have!” He shouted as he ran over to Ice. “nine minutes!” Ice said pressing the buttons. Suddenly a beam of light shot down on to the two of them. “Oh great, this again” Blaze said as he was stuck. Suddenly the beam of light turned orange and the two dematerialised, they quickly re-materialised in the teleportation room. The two burst out of the room, and Ice started to run back down the corridor they had come down from. “Hey wait” Blaze said as Ice skidded to a stop. “What’s down here?” Blaze said puzzled as the tunnel continued. “We don’t have time” Ice said beckoning to Blaze to hurry up. “Yeah but we can’t go that way, Death destroyed the escalator. This is the only choice” Blaze said as he started to run down the corridor. “Well why didn’t you say so to start with!” Ice said as he chased after him.
After around five minutes of running, a large service elevator lay before them. Blaze pulled the gate across to open it up. Ice ran in and found the control panel; Blaze quickly followed shutting the gate after him. “I hope this works, or we will be trapped under all this rock!” Ice said pressing the button for the ground floor. The elevator suddenly sparked in to life as he rose upwards. “Well that’s a good sign” Blaze said nervously as the elevator rose upwards. Suddenly dust and dirt started to fall down on them, as they both looked up they could see the sky as the roof opened up. “Yes” They both said as the elevator rose out to the outside. They initially covered there eyes as the light hurt; as they looked around they saw the land rover and the entrance. “Were here!” Ice shouted in disbelief. “You have got to be having a laugh!” Blaze said frustrated as he pulled open the elevator gate. They both quickly ran to the car as a computer’s voice sounded across some speakers.
“Two minutes to self destruct” the computer said as they jumped in to the car. Ice jumped in to drivers seat as he slammed it in to reverse gear. Blaze quickly buckled up his seat belt as the car went skidding backwards down the corridor of buildings. As they exited, Ice slammed his foot on the brake and spun the wheel as hard as he could. The car quickly spun around with a screech of the tires. Ice thrust it in to first gear, and pressed his foot down hard on the accelerator. The car span off out of the factory gates and across the plains, Blaze yelled for joy as the factory exploded behind them. A huge cloud filled the air as a shockwave burst forth spinning their car out of control. As they finally came to a stop, they looked up and saw the factory ablaze and a huge cloud filling the air. “It’s finally over” Blaze said as Ice lowered his head unsure if it was.
Several Months Later…
The sun shone down upon green fields as a lone church stood atop of a hill. Ice pushed open the gate to the churches graveyards and started to walk amongst the gravestones until he stopped by two underneath a cherry blossom tree. He gently lay down a bouquet of flowers on each of the graves. He looked down at the names as he read them, the first one said ‘Jack Dagon, a truly valiant man who gave his all for peace and justice for all. Will truly be missed.’ The one besides it read ‘Samuel Geos, overcame great hardships, and showed the true power of friendship till the very end, a true friend to all’ The stones read, a tear ran down Ice’s face as he looked at them.
“I am sorry Jack, I don’t know if I can do it anymore. It seems that there are far greater things in this world then the demons. I am not sure if I have faith in anything, I see death and destruction everywhere. Nothing has changed, the wars do not stop I have tried my hardest to do what you asked of me. But I feel like there is no hope anymore” Ice said to the gravestone hoping that Jack could hear him. Suddenly he heard footsteps behind him, as he turned around he saw Blaze walking towards the graves carrying flowers as well. As he arrived he gently placed them down on the grave and stood back up. “Do you think he is still alive somehow” Ice asked as he stared at the graves. “You know Jack, it’s not like a little thing like hell would stop him.” Blaze replied putting a small smile on Ice’s face.
“This war do you think it will ever stop, I can’t take it anymore. I have seemed to lost all faith in god now.” Ice said as he looked towards Blaze. “As long as we have faith, hope will surely follow. And with that, there is always a chance” Blaze said walking back down the path. Ice looked down at the graves one more time before turning around and walking away. “I hope your right, Be safe Jack” Ice said as they both left the graveyard.
