The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
Demon Hunter dashed forward and slashed straight across Death’s back, Death stumbled forward slightly trying to grab his back. Demon Hunter then thrust his foot in to his back sending him flying forwards. Pestilence and War jumped in to the air as Death flew beneath them and off the roof. War slashed his sword vertically in the air, a wave of physic energy tore through the roof in the line of slash. Demon Hunter quickly jumped up in to the sky.
As Demon Hunter dashed off Blaze stumbled backwards and fell on Ice, Blaze’s hair instantly caught fire to Ice’s sleeveless jacket. “OWWW!” Ice yelled as he leapt in to the air as he caught fire. As he landed back he hit the floor rolling as Blaze patted and tried to smother the fire. After the fire died out Ice jumped up “What do you think your doing, watch what your doing with your hair” Ice shouted at Blaze shaking his fist. “Hey it was an accident, I didn’t mean it!” Blaze shouted back at Ice. They continued to argue as Demon Hunter jumped up in to the air.
As he rose up, Pestilence flew towards and swung his sword. It clashed with Demon Hunter and they both started to push against each other. As Demon Hunter looked at Pestilence hundreds of tiny insects started to appear from under his sleeve and crawl up his sword. Demon Hunter pushed down on his sword and thrust both of his feet in to his chest propelling Demon Hunter back towards the roof and Pestilence skywards. As Demon Hunter landed in front of Ice and Blaze who were still arguing with each other. As he looked forward Famine fired his cannon, a huge ball of physic energy flew towards them. Demon Hunter jumped straight up, Blaze and Ice instantly stopped fighting and jumped out of the way as Blaze jumped to right and Ice jumped off the roof. The physic ball hit causing a large section of the roof to collapse. Demon Hunter fell in to the hole as Famine fired another shout at him.
Blaze landed on the large containers and War landed in front of him. Ice landed on one of the lorries as Pestilence landed on the one opposite. Demon Hunter looked around the warehouse was empty was a few steel columns that held up the roof. Suddenly the wall exploded at the far end and flew in to the warehouse. Death ran in through the smoke carrying a huge scythe. “Ah not good not good” Demon Hunter said as he ran for the other end of the warehouse after seeing Death coming straight towards him. Famine dropped down and aimed his cannon at Demon Hunter. “No good you go bye bye now!” Famine said in a happy tone as he fired his cannon at Demon Hunter. The physic ball hit him in the back propelling him through the wall.
Ice withdrew his two swords as they became encased in ice. “So it’s you versus me then hey.” Ice said as he sized up his opponent. “Indeed it seems I drew the short straw out of my fellow comrades.” Pestilence said with a posh British accent. “Let me show you what a short straw can do then!” Ice said as he stepped towards the edge of the lorry ready to pounce. Suddenly the wall of the warehouse exploded and Demon Hunter shot in to the lorry. The lorry suddenly tilted forward knocking Ice over and in between the two gaps of the lorry. He hit the floor face first before turning over on to his back. “OW, that hurt?” Ice said out loud as he grabbed his nose. Pestilence walked to the edge of his lorry and looked down at Ice who was grabbing his nose. “Pathetic, to think you’re my opponent” He said as he jumped off his lorry and dived towards Ice with his sword extended.
Demon Hunter scrambled to his feet and dived to the right as another physic blast hit the lorry behind him knocking it over. As the fell it slammed against Pestilence crushing him in between the two Lorries. Ice quickly scrambled to his feet and started to run away before the lorry fell. Pestilence burst in to millions of bugs as he did the lorry started to fall down. Ice dived out of the gap in to the open as the lorry slammed in to the ground behind him. As he looked around him so Demon Hunter run in to the open forecourt. But Ice has no time to think as millions of bugs circled a couple of feet in front of him until they formed Pestilence. “Oh I do so hate taking that form” Pestilence said as he started to stretch his joints.
Demon Hunter ran in to the open forecourt as Famine slowly walked after him. As he turned round he say Death slash through the wall of the warehouse. The wall fell to the floor and Death walked towards Demon Hunter and on to the forecourt. Famine and Death now stood side by side as they stood the opposite side to Demon Hunter. Death waved his free hand through the air, and Demon Hunter’s vision became distorted for a brief second and then returned to normal. Demon Hunter looked around but Death and Famine had disappeared.
Blaze parried War’s blows as he continued to stagger backwards across the container. After several minutes Blaze stumbled on to one that was connected to the crane. War jumped forward and Blaze dived out of the way as War’s sword slammed against the container. War rose to his feet as did Blaze “Hey not bad, your pretty good” Blaze said shrugging his shoulders. War remained silent as he glowing red eyes transfixed on him. Suddenly the crane sprung in to life and the contained to rise above the ground. Blaze stumbled at the container shook underneath his feet. The container swung around until they were over the forecourt. Blaze fell down on his back as it came to a sudden stop. War quickly sliced his sword vertically at Blaze. The physic energy tore through the container as Blaze quickly rolled to the side falling off the container. As he did he burst in to flames and headed towards the lorries, as the split in container spread water burst forth.
As Demon Hunter kept looking out for Death and Famine while staying on guard when suddenly water poured down on him. Demon Hunter lowered his head as the water poured down on to him. As he looked back up he saw Death charging towards him, “So that how he does, illusions. The water must have broken it!” Demon Hunter said as he side stepped the scythe as it smashed in to ground. “Very good, you figured it out. But can you tell what is real and what are illusions I wonder?” Death said as a physic blast hit Demon Hunter in the back sending him flying over the scythe and past Death. Demon Hunter flipped back up and turned to face them both.
Blaze quickly flying kicked Pestilence in the head as he continued his stretching. “Change!” He yelled as Pestilence went skidding along the ground. Ice ran across in to the forecourt as War jumped down in front of him. “I have a new opponent then, so you War right. Well you can’t be worse then that bug guy!” Ice said as he slashed at him. Pestilence rose to his feet and patted his clothes to get rid of the dirt. “How rude!” Pestilence protested as he started to run towards Blaze. Blaze raised his arms and shot his kunai knife’s at him. They shot through him as his top half burst in to insects and started to swarm around Blaze. “What the hell!” Blaze yelled as the bugs landed on him. Blaze quickly burst in to flames and all the bugs dropped to floor dead. However his legs slammed in to Blaze’s face sending him skidding past Ice and War before stopping in the middle of the forecourt. Pestilence’s top part formed back up as more bugs appeared from the bottom part. Blaze rose to his feet and Pestilence slashed downwards with his sword. Blaze crossed his arms and blocked the attack with his kunai knife.
“What the hell are you? I destroyed your top part already!” Blaze shouted as he pushed back the attack. Pestilence kicked in the stomach sending him staggering backwards a few steps. “You can not destroy me. Within my body there are over a million eggs, when one of the insects die a egg hatches and then another egg is born to replace the egg that was used. So you see no matter what attack you use it won’t affect me!” Pestilence said as he flicked his hair. “I get it, so then all I have to do is find the Queen Bug that producing these eggs then you will only have limited regeneration.” Blaze said smiling. “Doesn’t matter, you will never be able to pull it off, as the Queen can hide in any part of my body, or even outside of my body.” Pestilence said as they charged at each other.
Ice slashed furiously at War as the two exchanged blows, “Not bad” Ice said as his opponent parried each of his attacks. They continued to attack each other until they both jumped backwards. Ice started to pant heavily as he overexerted himself during the battle. “What’s the matter hey cat got your tongue?” Ice asked as he began to wonder about who he was fighting. War lowered his sword and reached on his helmet, Ice looked stunned as War removed his helmet. In front of him stood a corpses head, several parts of the flesh had rotted away revealing bone beneath the skin. Suddenly Ice could hear a voice inside of his head. It sounded old and crackly; Ice could just about hear what it was saying. “I am neither alive nor dead, I have risen from the fires of hell an immortal to achieve what I could not do in life” Ice figured it was War’s voice been directly fed in to his mind. “And what was that then?” Ice said as the voice stopped inside his head. It suddenly started back up again. “To change the world!” The voice said in an evil and menacing tone.
Ice instantly got angry at his comment, “This world is not yours! You have no right to change anything! I will send you back to hell in the name of God you Demon!” Ice shouted as he slashed through the air. “Ice Cutter!” Ice yelled as a line of ice shot forward. War jumped up and re-attached his helmet before hitting the ground again, he slowly raised his sword and spun it in a circle. Suddenly he bolted forward slashing through the air. Ice managed to block the attack but the impact of the physic shockwave from his sword sent him flying in to wall of the warehouse. Ice bounced off the wall and hit the ground with a thump. Ice stumbled to his feet, he saw War bearing down on him. As War ran towards him his eyes grew brighter, suddenly a wall of physic energy appeared directly in front of Ice. The wall thrust Ice through the warehouse wall and in to the warehouse skidding along the floor.
“What the hell was that, man maybe I’ve bitten off more then I can chew here. Who can I change with? Demon Hunter has two perfect!” Ice said as he jumped over War who went crashing in to the opposite wall. Ice pelted out of the warehouse towards Demon Hunter. Demon Hunter kept on dodging the physic cannon balls while also parrying Death’s attacks. Demon Hunter skidded across the wet floor as he got pushed backwards by Death’s kick. “Hey not bad you two, but what’s the deal. You don’t look anything like Death, your not bony or anything. And you you’re meant to be famine you’re the fattest person I know!” Demon Hunter said taunting them as they lined up together facing him.
“I am not fat!” Famine bellowed as he pointed his cannon at Demon Hunter, Death walked forward and pushed the cannon down pointing towards the ground. “Quiet Famine, You know your fat, so don’t be stupid!” Death barked at him as he walked forward. “Sorry Death” Famine said softly as he lowered his head. “Hmm so you’re the famous Demon Hunter, I suppose your right I don’t look much like the traditional Death. Think of this a new trendy version ok” Death said as he looked at his appearance. “Famous! Wow I am famous, I’m flattered” Demon Hunter said surprised. “Yes, the Master has heard of your exploits, he is quite thankful actually” Death said. “Thankful, for what?” Demon Hunter said surprised to hear those words from Death. “Oh you will have to beat me to get that from me Demon Hunter” Death said as he began to wave his hand through the air. “I wouldn’t have it any other way” Demon Hunter said with a smile on his face.
Suddenly Demon Hunter’s vision started to blur again before quickly returning back to normal. “This is an illusion” Demon Hunter said out loud. “Well done, but merely knowing that will not save you” Death’s voice echoed across the forecourt. Demon Hunter took a couple of steps backwards nervously. Beads of sweat started to run down his face. “He could be anywhere, this isn’t good. How am I meant to fight like this” Demon Hunter thought to himself. Suddenly Demon Hunter could hear something behind him. As he turned around he could see little ripples in to the water. Demon Hunter dashed forward and thrust his sword in to where the ripples appeared. Death appeared around the sword clutching it as blood spread across the water. “Got you” Demon Hunter gloated. Suddenly Demon Hunter heard something he quickly turned his head, blood spurted across his face. Demon Hunter looked up and so it was Death. Demon Hunter’s sword dropped to the floor as the illusion disappeared. He had a kunai knife lodged in his side. Suddenly the kunai knife split in to four sides gripping on to Death’s body.
Blaze pulled Death across the ground and swung him up in to air with a flick of his hand. Death slammed in to the roof of the warehouse, Pestilence gathered to his feet after being knocked backwards by Blaze. The kunai knife came flying back to Blaze as he jumped up on to the roof. As Demon Hunter looked back to where he thrust his sword he saw Ice with both his swords lodged in Famines chest pinning him to the floor. Demon Hunter stood stunned as he looked at the water seeing no blood now. “It was so real” he thought to himself as Pestilence and War both came straight at him. Demon Hunter just stood there. “Snap out of it, Snap out of it!” He shouted at himself, he suddenly stretched out both his arms, blocking Pestilence and War’s route. “Well it looks like I get the Samurai and the bug man now.” Demon Hunter said as they both stopped before him.
“My my, they sure are boisterous aren’t they War” Pestilence said and War didn’t say a word. “He’s a quiet one isn’t he. I like that!” Demon Hunter said complimenting War. “well then shall we begin” Pestilence said placing his sword in front of his face and his other hand behind his back. War raised his sword and prepared to attack. Demon Hunter didn’t move as the two dashed towards him. Demon Hunter quickly parried war and kicked him towards pestilence. War stumbled backwards and Pestilence quickly jumped over him. Demon Hunter slashed through the air leaving a line of white light. The attack had no effect, as Pestilence split through the middle as the attack passed through and rejoined.
Demon Hunter jumped backwards as the Pestilences sword slashed in to the ground. War dashed around him and Pestilence went the other way putting Demon Hunter in the middle of them both. They both quickly slashed through the air sending physic shockwaves towards each other. Demon Hunter quickly jumped in to the sky as the waves clashed causing an explosion sending water flying everywhere. Pestilence burst in to his insect form and flew in to the air at Demon Hunter, War aimed and slashed through the air at him. A wave of physic energy burst forth, Pestilence quickly reached Demon Hunter swarming all over him. Demon Hunter slashed through the air to try and get him off but it had no effect. Suddenly Pestilence flew back down, As Demon Hunter looked beneath him self, and he saw the wave right in front of him. Demon Hunter pushed back as hard as he could just manage to move in the air enough as the wave shot past him.
Ice pushed his swords further in to Famine chest as he wiggled and squirmed, “Get off! Get off!” Famine screamed as Ice pushed as hard as he could. Famine quickly grabbed his cannon and placed in front of Ice’s face. Ice could see the physic energy swirling around in side the cannon. Ice gripped his swords and pushed off his belly as the physic energy shot past him. Ice landed on the floor a couple of feet away as Famine slowly stood back up. His wounds had already healed; Famine slowly raised the cannon on his shoulder. Ice threw one of his sword’s at him, it pieced his heart making him stagger backwards dropping the cannon. Ice dashed forward and jumped in to the air. He grabbed his sword and pushed off with his left foot on Famine’s chest. Ice flew through the air and crossed his swords, as Famine looked up he saw two lines of ice heading towards him. “Pretty” He said as they cut through his chest, he screamed in pain. Ice flipped in mid air and landed on his feet. “Not nice not nice, you die” Famine said as he grabbed his chest. “I am finishing this” Ice said as he ran forward running his swords along the ground. Famine slowly raised his left hand and pointed in that direction. Ice quickly glimpsed before coming to a skidding stop.
Demon Hunter landed on his feet as War and Pestilence stood side by side. Pestilence had a huge smile on his face as he pointed towards the warehouse roof. Demon Hunter instantly saw and forgot about his opponents. “Blaze…”
On the Roof
Two Minutes ago…
Blaze jumped on to the roof and walked in to the centre, Death clambered to his feet fully healed. “You’ll pay for that!” Death shouted angered by Blaze’s interruption. Blaze just smiled as held his knifes in his hands. “As the leader of the Demon Hunter extermination squad, I normally just watch while I let Demon Hunter and Ice do all the work. But not this time, I have figured out how to beat you. You shall have the honour of being beaten by me, Blaze!” He shouted triumphantly. “I shall reap your soul slowly” Death said as he became enraged by Blaze’s words. He placed his scythe on his back fixing it with the rope. “I won’t even use a weapon” Death said as he waved his hand. Blaze vision instantly became distorted, and returned back to normal. Blaze placed one of the kunai knifes on his hands.
“Your illusions are remarkable and are very hard to tell the difference from the actual reality. But any physical contact breaks your illusion, revealing the truth to the person trapped within them.” Blaze said as he cut his hand, suddenly everything became distorted again and returned to normal. Death was heading straight for him, Blaze stretched his arms and fired both his kunai knifes at him. The attacks thrust in to his chest but Death kept running. As he reached Blaze he grasped his throat at lifted him of his feet in to the air.
Death squeezed tightly and no matter what Blaze did he couldn’t break the grip. “Can you feel the hand of death upon you” Death said smiling. “Burn in hell!” Blaze replied as he gripped the wires, his whole body quickly burst in to flames. The flames quickly travelled down the wires setting Death ablaze. Suddenly the fires died out as Blaze began to feel very weak. “That’s it, don’t fight it. You can’t escape. No one will save you. Your soul is mine, I will torture it for the rest of eternity” Death said laughing. “Your wrong” Blaze said struggling to find the words as he felt his body beginning to give up. Death looked him straight in the eyes as he saw Blaze smiling as his body went limp. “What do you mean?” Death asked puzzled as Demon Hunter and Ice’s screams could be heard calling out his name, but the others were stopping them.
“Someone… will… Save… Me” Blaze said as he struggled to keep his eyes open. Death looked over on to the forecourt but Demon Hunter was being stopped by Pestilence and War while Ice got blasted by a physic cannon ball in the back. “They can’t save you” Death said as he turned back to Blaze. “Demon… Hunter… Elimination… Squad… Regroup…” Blaze said before he finally passed out. “Good boy, your soul shall soon be mine, just a few more seconds.” Suddenly Death let go as a cross slashed in to his back. “What the hell!” Death shouted as he turned around. Nails quickly lodged in to his neck as turned. Cerebral extended his neck tearing through his neck. Death stood as he gurgled on his own blood, “Goodbye” Cerebral said as he swung his arm to the right severing his neck.
However his head floating a couple of inches of his body before reconnecting, a flash of white shined from the gap and the head was reconnected. Cerebral quickly got past Death and grabbed Blaze before jumping off the roof and on to the forecourt. Death quickly cranked his neck before looking at the two run away. Cerebral ran in to the middle where Demon Hunter and Ice quickly joined them. Ice, Cerebral and Demon Hunter stood around Blaze as he lay unconscious. Death jumped back in to the forecourt and walked around the circle while the other stood around them in a circle.
“I think I will call this a day for now, Demon Hunter” Death said as he withdrew a piece of paper, he threw over to Demon Hunter who managed to catch it. As he looked at the paper he could see it was an address. “We will be waiting there with the master for a rematch. He would like to meet you any way so we might as well have some fun.” Death said as the others walked around to join him. “But why?” Demon Hunter asked hesitatingly. Famine was now standing next to Death. “Because you are the only one’s we can call rivals alive. And I want to savour reaping your souls before you disappear from this world.” Death said smiling. “But Death, I want to kill them now” Famine moaned like a little child. “Shut Up!” Death quickly replied. “But Death, I want to kill them” He moaned more raising his voice. Death instantly spun his scythe around and thrust towards Famine stopping just before his throat. A small line of blood could be seen trickling down his chest. “Shut up, or I will make you shut up” Death said holding the scythe to his throat. “Yes sir” Famine quickly replied, “Good, now let’s go” Death said as he placed his scythe back. They all quickly jumped off in to the distance. Demon Hunter, Ice and Cerebral let out a sigh of relief and slumped to the floor.
