Changing World, War Declared
As Ice and Blaze slept in their home everything seemed to be peaceful, the sounds of explosions had long since stopped. The sun shone brightly outside and the sounds of birds could be heard singing. Blaze began to stir over the smell of breakfast, Ice was frying some bacon and eggs in the kitchen. Blaze walked over and turned on the TV, he sat down on the couch. As he flicked through the channels he finally stopped on a twenty four hour news channel. “All military forces have been withdrawn from war zones today. They have all been brought to the largest training academy on Salisbury Plains. They are apparently being trained, over one million strong and more are travelling across Europe now. Inside reporters say that there is actually no training happening but they all seem to be waiting for something.”
As Blaze continued to watch television, the cottage began to shake. The ground started to shake violently. Ice rushed outside, trees started to fall down and birds flew off in to the distance. Ice managed to stabilise himself, when suddenly a giant jolt knocked him of his feet. Blaze also fell off the couch as the house itself moved. “Urgent news, the south east coast line has been destroyed. England has crashed and been joined with the northern borders of France.”
The news show suddenly switches to a picture of the wreckage, the land spews upwards where it met and cracks appear for miles from the spot. Hundreds of people injured on both side and hundreds more missing. “it also seems that Europe has broken off from Asia. Nobody knows what is happening, Emergency services are rushing to scenes as tower block collapse and house crumble under the impact. This is a disaster, what is happening!” The new reporter says hastily as the studio begins to shake. In fact the whole of Europe shakes. “It seems as though we are moving again, towards Ireland.” Before the news reporter could say another word the lands crash together. Hundreds of cracks appear beneath Ice’s feet as he walks inside the house, “What the hell is happening?” Ice yelled as he got thrown in to a wall. “I don’t know, but I have a feeling that the master is doing this, but I don’t know how!” Blaze as the ground continued to shake. “It seems as though the whole of England is moving towards America, at this rate we will be there in one day. It seems we have slowed down. Parts of the west are being flooded and people evacuating to get to higher ground as the waves come crashing down around them.” The news reporter says.
“America, then that solves it. It is the master. It seems he has picked his next target now.” Blaze shouted as the ground stopped shaking so violently. “Urgent new bulletin, a demon has been spotted on the western shore of Wales. Could this explain these events” The picture then shows a man wearing a cowboy outfit and hat. The waves crash against the cliff face and rain down upon him. The ground around him is flat and has hundreds of cracks in it. When suddenly the camera collapses and hits the ground. The screen quickly went black and the news reporter came back on the screen.
“Quake, what’s he up too. He can even move countries themselves, we’ve got to stop him.” Ice said grabbing his jacket and swords. “Ice, if he can move that amount of land by himself he may be too much for us!” Blaze shouted as Ice was about to run out the door. “That may be, but we have to at least try.” Ice said as he ran out the door. “I suppose, but do you have to keep wearing that horrible jacket it has holes in it for god sakes!” Blaze shouted after Ice as they both ran to the car.
Meanwhile…
Cerebral quickly flew through the air, “Hmm what’s he playing at hey. There’s no way he has the power to do this himself. But I have to gain his power if I want to stand a chance against the master himself. Everybody else is bound to heading there, Demon Hunter, Blaze and Ice. This could be quite interesting after all. Before nightfall they will all be mine ha ha” Cerebral continued to laugh as he flew through the air.
Meanwhile…
Demon Hunter quickly stole a car and started to drive full speed towards Quake. “At this rate I will be there in about two hours so it has begun, he has decided to take on America, he only has Quake, Volt, Cerebral and Sarge left. According to Blaze and Ice they no longer they no longer serve him. And for some reason I believe them. Ha maybe it is just old friendship but I still trust them. But I better be careful they are still demons.” Demon Hunter thought to himself as he drove towards Quake.
One hour and thirty minutes later…
Blaze and Ice pulled up as close as there car would let them as the cracks got bigger and bigger the closer they got. They both exited the car, and they could see the huge waves crashing against the cliff wall ahead of them. “Quake is somewhere up ahead” Blaze said nervously. “Are you sure about this, all of this power, his power has increased tremendously.” Blaze said as he withdrew his kunai knifes in to his knife. “Hey come on now, there is two against one and we are hardly pushovers. Plus Demon Hunter is undoubtedly heading here as we speak. So if we can’t win all we have to do is hold him off until he arrives” Ice said as he withdrew his katana.
“I suppose, but if Demon Hunter is coming then Cerebral is definitely coming as well. Hey I suppose I have a good life, I would rather go down in a blaze of glory anyway.” Blaze said with a sudden change in his attitude and a grin across his face. “let’s go then buddy” They both charged forward towards were Quake was last seen. As they arrived thousands of cracks were all over the cliff, to the side was the camera but no crew. The waves crashed against the cliff and flew up in to the air. Quake just stood there unmoving, until he slowly turned around to face Ice and Blaze.
He slowly looked up at them with sadness in his eyes. “What did you do with the camera crew” Ice yelled pointing at the camera with one of his swords. “Oh them, they just ran off, dropping the camera as they went. It appears I am scarier then I thought” Quake replied his voice was very quiet. “What’s wrong with you Quake” Blaze said picking up on it. “I am sad, I am finally returning home but I will never see it. I have been destined to die on this day” Quake said staring at them both. “Die? You’re predicting your own death?” Ice said puzzled at Quake’s comment.
“I was given two options by my master. I was either to come here and fight to the death. Which I would surely lose as you all come I would quickly be overpowered. Or to die then and there.” Quake said unmoving. “What? And you just accepted it?” Blaze shouted at him. “My master is never wrong, you should know that by now” Quake said looking directly at Blaze this time. “You’re insane, you would just lie down and die for your master. Have you no survival instinct!” Ice screamed at him trying to get him to see sense.
“I pawn must live and die for it’s master, I die so my master can survive. Even from hell I will continue to do my master bidding” Quake said as he looked up at the sky. “ok, then why don’t you just kill yourself and safe us the hassle if you have to die anyway” Blaze said jokingly. “Hmm very funny, but the more of you I can kill before I succumb the better reward I will receive in hell.” Quake said as he looked back down at both of them. “There will be no reward for you in hell, you will be tortured for an eternity for the sins that you have committed!” Ice yelled at him as he began to charge.
“oh won’t you join me then Ice!” Quake shouted as Ice came bearing down on him. Blaze burst in to flames and took to the sky. Quake followed him with his eyes “heading for the skies will not save you!” Quake shouted up at him to make sure that he could hear. Ice jumped up towards Quake, as he neared him he raised his sword in the air and brought them swinging downwards towards Quake’s head. When suddenly two pillars of rock burst forth from the ground. The sword’s stuck in to pillars, “Now it is time for you to feel my power. To think you thought the likes of you would ever kill me!” Another pillar burst out of the ground by Quake’s feet hitting Ice in the chest. Ice flew backwards managing to take his sword’s with him. Before he could hit the floor another pillar shot forth and hit squarely in to Ice’s back. Ice flew upwards a few feet until another pillar shot forth and curved around hit Ice’s belly and pinned him to the ground.
Ice screamed in pain as the rock put more and more pressure down on his chest. Blaze instantly stopped flying and the fire receded back in to his hair. “ICE!” He screamed as he turned towards Quake. “And what do you hope to do from up there, hmm Blaze” Quake taunted as he still hadn’t moved from his spot. Blaze aimed his kunai knife’s towards Quake. The knifes quickly shot forward but before they could hit Quake, two small pillars rose up and wrapped around the chains stopping the attack about half way from him. Blaze tried to pull them back but they were stuck. He quickly flew towards them to try and get them free. As he reached them he tried to pull them out but they were stuck. He prepared to destroy the pillars but before he could. The ground around him shot upwards and sealed him in a giant sphere. Everything went pitch black so Blaze became covered in flames so he could.
Blaze quickly destroyed the pillars with a kick, and looked around. There didn’t appear to be any way out of the sphere. “How are you doing Ice, does it hurt. Tell me about the pain let me savour it” Quake said as he stared at Ice who was still struggling to get free. “Shut up, this is nothing!” Ice yelled as he clasped his swords “Dual Ice Cutter!” Ice aimed at the base of the pillar. The attack sliced through and the pillar began to topple. Ice quickly leapt to his feet and dashed to the side as a pillar burst through the ground besides him. “Dual Ice Cutter” Ice yelled as he the ice shot forward at Quake.
Quake created a wall in front of him and the attack shattered against it. “ha ha we are in a different league altogether Ice” he laughed from behind the wall. The wall suddenly formed in to a cone shape and shot at Ice. Ice dived to the side narrowly missing the attack. “I wouldn’t bet on that. I have already figured out your weakness. This battle is mine.” Ice gloated as he stood back up straight. “Weakness, I have no weaknesses Ice!” Quake yelled as he continued attacking, Ice just kept dodging the pillars.
Meanwhile…
Blaze was stuck in the sphere, he fired several attack at the wall but it had no effect. “This is not good, the air supply in here has got to limited and with my fire it will be rapidly diminishing. But I can’t drop the fire, because the instant I drop my guard is the instant I die.” Blaze said as he returned to the middle of the sphere, watching everything trying to prepare himself for Quake’s attack.
Elsewhere…
Demon Hunter drove as fast as he could; the road towards Quake was empty as everybody fled the other way to get away from the flooding. Demon Hunter was driving faster then one hundred and fifty miles the entire way. Cerebral was flew past his car as he flew as fast as possible. “So Demon Hunter is coming as well. He is about twenty minutes away. This means that I will only have fifteen minutes to act. Don’t die yet Quake; I finally get to eat you!” Cerebral thought to himself as he past Demon Hunter’s car.
Elsewhere…
“That’s it this fight is over Quake, I’ve had enough of you. Go to your master in hell!” Ice yelled as he swiped at a pillar that appeared in front of him. The pillar crumbled in front of him and in front of him stood Quake about ten metres away. “Oh yeah, this I have got to see. Bring it on Ice!” Quake yelled as he stretched out his arms to make him self seem like a target. “Good, Ice Bull!” Ice held his two swords besides his chest and bent over making himself look like a bull. Ice began to charge towards Quake while he just laughed at him. As Ice got closer he jumped forward thrusting his swords forward. A wall appeared in front of Quake and the swords pierced through it but stopped. Ice couldn’t push them forward anymore and only the tips of the swords stuck out the other side.
“I told you Ice, you can not defeat me. Your moved failed you. Ha ha ha” Quake laughed looking at Ice’s failed attack. “Oh yeah, you’ve already lost!” Ice shouted over Quake’s laughing, when suddenly two beams of ice shot forward and pierced and went straight through Quake’s chest. Quake went falling backwards and hit the ground with a thud. “ha ha, no way I lost to you. Oh I didn’t kill anyone I failed.” Quake said as he felt himself dieing. He body started to tingle all over, and he became to feel weaker. The sphere collapsed around Blaze who shot out and flew upwards out of the crumbling sphere.
However the waves continued to crash upon the cliff, Ice walked over to Quake. “Why haven’t we stopped moving?” Ice asked hoping to get an answer. “It was a trick; I was never the one doing it. It was the master I was just a decoy, so you lot wouldn’t interfere. And it worked perfectly you all failed for it.” Quake laughed until he coughed up blood. “Damn it, there nothing we can do now. Were already half ways there, we can’t hope to stop it now.” Ice said to him self as he turned away from Quake’s dieing body.
As Ice neared their car it suddenly blew up, the explosion knocked Ice backwards. Blaze landed besides and helped him up. They both stared at the car as a tower of smoke rose up through the air. They both had a sudden thought and turned around towards Quake. Holding his body was Cerebral, he stuck his teeth deep in to his neck. “Cerebral, leave him alone!” Ice yelled as he began to charge, but with a simple wave of the hand a giant gust of wind knocked Ice off his feet. Cerebral started to float in the air and flew past them with Quake’s body.
“Come on Ice, we can’t let him consume Quake. He will be too powerful to stop otherwise, hurry!” Blaze yelled as he flew off after him. “Yeah great, a little help. Ouch, that really hurt. When did his attack start packing such a punch? To think he used to be the weakest. Oh well, Wait up Blaze!” Ice yelled as he started to run after Cerebral and Blaze.
Meanwhile…
Demon Hunter continued to drive as fast as the car would allow, when he spotted something in the sky. As he looked closer he could see that it was Cerebral carrying Quake. Demon Hunter instantly swung the car around as they pass above him and started chasing after them. After a while Cerebral stopped at in a plain, the cracks in the ground around there were larger then others and had become like chasms in the ground. Demon Hunter stopped the car and walked through the line of trees that surrounded the area. As he did he say that the plains were huge close to three to four miles wide and in the middle was Cerebral. Demon Hunter jumped and ran across the plain avoiding the chasms. As he drew closer, Cerebral stopped eating and looked up.
Quake had huge chunks of meat missing from his body, it was quite clear to see that he was now dead. Cerebral stood up and swiped his arm threw the air, Quake body went tumbling across the ground as a gust of wind pushed past him until he fell in to a chasm. “Once less Demon out of the way hey Demon Hunter, you should thank you. I just crossed one more of the list for you” Cerebral said as he removed a cloth from his pocket and wiped the blood off from around his mouth. “Have to do it over wise it hardens, and becomes a nightmare to remove. You understand right?” Cerebral said as he placed the cloth back in to his pocket.
“You truly are a freak, I will never forgive you. You die today Cerebral!” Demon Hunter shouted as he jumped a chasm to be on the same piece of land as Cerebral. “Oh what you mean your wife. Would you like to meet her?” Cerebral said as he started to unbutton his shirt. “What, what are you doing!” Demon Hunter shouted as Cerebral opened his shirt. Suddenly several faces burst forward from his chest. Their screams filled the air as they all screamed for help. Demon Hunter took a step backwards, he found it had to watch as they tried desperately to escape.
“Save me, Jack!” A voice shouted above the others, Demon Hunter instantly knew whose voice it was. “Helena?” Demon Hunter said as her face pushed past the others and appeared in his chest. “Help me, get me out of here. Save me please. So much pain” Helena said until she receded back in to Cerebral’s chest and he started to do up his shirt. “How touching” He taunted trying to provoke Demon Hunter. “You… you… how could you?… how?” Demon Hunter asked as he stood stunned at what he had seen. “When I eat them, I also consume a part of their soul. They live forever in side me. Never dieing yet not living either. They feel the pain that they felt when I consume them forever. Some go insane others just pray to god. Your wife she’s a tough nut though. She has never prayed once. But who can blame her, what god would enforce this on them hey?” Cerebral said as he finished buttoning up his shirt.
“It wasn’t god who did that, it was you Cerebral. And you will pay for your sins!” Demon Hunter shouted as his entire body became engulfed with a white light. “Hmm, what are you planning Demon Hunter, I warn you it will not work” Cerebral said wondering what was happening. “ONI HUNTER FLARE!” Demon Hunter yelled as he became brighter then the sun itself. Cerebral quickly closed his eyes before he did it. As the light died down Demon Hunter stood in front of Cerebral standing still. Cerebral hand was by his belly and Demon Hunter sword had already gone past Cerebral.
“I tried to warn you” Cerebral said as his nails extended and ripped straight through Demon Hunter’s body. Demon Hunter’s body became limp on Cerebral’s arm. “How?” was all Demon Hunter could muster. “I am vampire bat, I have radar you fool” Cerebral said as he pulled out his nails returned to normal. He instantly pulled his hand away as Demon Hunter began to fall forwards. Cerebral grabbed hold of him and dug his teeth deep down in to his neck. Suddenly Cerebral staggered backwards spitting out whatever he hadn’t already swallowed. “Yuck, your blood is the blood of the already dead!” Cerebral shouted as he continued to spit out the blood in his mouth.
After a while Cerebral stopped and stared at Demon Hunter, he quickly ran towards him and kicked him in the head. He went skidding along the ground and fell of the field in to one of the many chasm. “That can be your final resting place Demon Hunter!” Cerebral shouted as he laughed at his victory.
